The device is intended for applying of anticorrosive insulation of a polymeric tape on 57-114 mm diameter pipelines. A driven element of the device is a rotor. On the PIL-3 device frame the guide rollers and two bobbins on brackets - are installed. Insulating protecting coating could be of the following types: normal, strengthened from adhesive polymeric tapes as per GOST 25812-83 or strengthened from adhesive polymeric tape as per GOST 9.602-89. For insulation the tape of width 125-150 mm and thickness of 0,3-0,8 mm is used.
